Exploring tradition and innovation through Bach’s Cello Suite No. 3 in six movements, recomposed by Peter Gregson.
UNI: Smallest in Number Greatest in Ideal
Breaking from orchestral traditions, this contemporary ballet engages minimalist electronic compositions by Alva Noto to explore movement in new ways.
Nonsensical Vignettes
Whimsical jazz-infused vignettes inspired by the extraordinary artistry of Ella Fitzgerald.
Primarily Functional
A trio shaped by structure and simplicity—props used in their most literal sense and bold primary colors that frame the work’s visual clarity. Set to the first two movements of Divertissement by Nikolai Kapustin, the choreography blends classical form and jazz-inflected rhythm, unfolding in syncopated, playful phrasing that shifts between precision and spontaneity.
Disembar(re)k
Set to music by Johann Paul von Westhoff, Disembar(re)k reimagines the ballet barre as an active partner in the choreography. Rooted in classical ballet and pointe work, the piece blends Baroque influence with neoclassical and contemporary movement, exploring structure through both tradition and inventive use.
(In)Bodied Beat
Inspired by Maurice Ravel’s mesmerizing Bolero, this work transforms dancers into the orchestra, bringing rhythm to life through powerful movement and resonant sound.
Awaiting
Awaiting is a contemporary choreographic work inspired by the parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1–13), set to music by Antonio Vivaldi. Through nuanced movement and shifting dynamics, it explores themes of readiness, anticipation, and spiritual vigilance.
