Laura Morton, MS

Building clear, sustainable training from the ground up.

A ballet educator, choreographer, and curriculum consultant whose work spans more than 40 years across professional, pre-professional, and higher education settings. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Applied Exercise Physiology and has served in academic leadership roles in dance education.

MORTON DANCE CONSULTING

Through Morton Dance Consulting, Laura supports ballet educators in building clear, sustainable training from the ground up. Drawing on decades of experience in studios and higher education, she helps teachers move beyond inherited guesswork toward pedagogy grounded in technical clarity, developmental readiness, and long-term dancer health.

Teaching with Intention

Strong ballet training begins with thoughtful teaching. Laura works with ballet educators and studio programs to strengthen technical progression, clarify teaching practices, and support dancers’ long-term development.

The goal is not to replace a program’s tradition, but to help teachers build training environments where technique, artistry, and dancer well-being grow together over time.

Ballet pedagogy is not simply a set of instructions—it is an ongoing conversation.

My work focuses on coming alongside teachers and studio leaders to explore that conversation together, strengthening both teaching clarity and long-term dancer development.

If these ideas resonate with the work you are doing in your program, I would welcome the opportunity to connect.
